We welcome the Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change report regarding limiting the impacts of climate change to a no more than 1.5 degree temperature rise. Sustainable Aviation and our members are committed to playing our role in a cleaner future.

Our Carbon Road-Map shows how we can return to 2005 emissions levels through technology, operational efficiency improvements and the use of sustainable biofuels. We are already witnessing the rate of growth in passenger numbers from growth in emissions being disconnected.

We will be reviewing the report and the potential implications for our carbon reduction plans. The UK is at the forefront of efforts to deliver a sustainable future for aviation, the Government’s Aviation Strategy must do all it can to support these efforts.
