SA has responded to the DfT’s “Advanced Fuels: call for evidence” consultation.

In the response SA estimates that, with government support, by 2050 sustainable fuels will offer between a 15% and 24% reduction in CO₂ emissions attributable to UK aviation.

In addition SA states that scaling up production of sustainable aviation fuel production in the UK will offer green jobs and wider economic benefits plus improve fuel security.

This response markes a first step for SA in developing our Sustainable Aviation Fuels Road-Map which we are aiming to publish in July 2014.
